I’ve spent my entire working career in and around the construction industry. I started at age 14 as a general laborer for an electrical contractor and continued that job through college. I graduated from UNL engineering college with a bachelor in Construction Management in 2001. I spent 11 years building homes before switching and spending 8 years in commercial construction. As a result, I’ve had many opportunities to work with a variety of people and levels of construction. We have been building homes again for a few years now and truly enjoy the relationships and the working to making someones vision a reality.

What is the most memorable place that I have visited?
In June of 2008, I went on a 10-day mission trip to Guatemala. We stayed in downtown Guatemala City for several days and then visited a small rural town and a Mayan Village. While there we visited a prison, orphanage, the city dump, a tribal village and hiked a volcano. One thing really impacted me was the fact that literally thousands of people live in and around the city dump which is where they find their food. Seeing the level of poverty that exists in places like this was a life-changing event.

What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about my church and reaching out to and serving our Lincoln community. I like working on projects that help people in need and to help local charities.

How do you spend your spare time?
I love spending time with family and being outdoors. We have 2 children that keep us busy and we enjoy doing things together. When I do have free time I love to play and watch sports, fish, and golf.
